Hiroshima Carp manager Marty Brown was slapped with a fine and a reprimand Wednesday after being ejected a day earlier for throwing a temper tantrum in a game against the Yomiuri Giants.

Brown objected to a ball ruling on Hiroshima pitcher Tomohiro Umetsu in the eighth inning and proceeded to curse home plate umpire Atsushi Fukaya with a barrage of expletives. After he was ejected, Brown kicked dirt over home plate and tossed his cap to the ground in anger.

Central League President Hajime Toyokura hit Brown with a fine of 100,000 yen for his outburst.
