The Osaka Evessa ended the regular season with a 93-80 victory over the visiting Tokyo Apache, improving to a league-best 29-11 in the process.
Evessa power forward Lynn Washington scored a game-best 30 points for the reigning league champions, David Palmer and Matt Lottich had 19 apiece, Naoto Nakamura added 13 and Kazuya Hatano had nine.
For the Apache, John Humphrey had a team-high 27 points. Elsewhere, the visiting Niigata Albirex BB earned an 87-81 win over the Toyama Grouses, getting 25 points and 17 rebounds from Nick Davis, 19 points from Jack Hartman and 16 from Naoto Kusuge.
Jerod Ward had 29 points for the Grouses. Led by big man Andy Ellis' 37 points, the Oita HeatDevils posted a 94-70 win over the host Takamatsu Five Arrows.
Oita's Justin Allen scored 20 points, Mikey Marshall added 17 and Yukinori Suzuki filled the stat sheet with eight points, six rebounds and six assists. All-Star center Julius Ashby had 18 points for the Five Arrows and backup forward Diagne Thierno Seydou Nouro, who hails from Senegal, had a season-best 17 points and eight rebounds.
In Sendai, the Saitama Broncos edged the 89ers 85-83. Saitama's Gordon James had 32 points and 19 rebounds, Ryuzo Anzai scored 12 and Kazuhiro Shoji added 11. Ryan Blackwell scored 28 and Mamadou Diouf had 26 in defeat.
