Chiba Lotte Marines left-hander Kosuke Kato will be moving to the Orix Buffaloes in a cash trade, officials of both clubs said Friday.
Kato joined Lotte in 2001 and posted nine wins that season before winning 11 games in 2002.
The 28-year-old, however, has struggled in recent years and has a 24-37 career record with a 4.76 ERA in 94 games.
