Norihiro Nakamura, who has been playing this spring with the Chunichi Dragons under a so-called player development contract, will be able to appear in top-team games during the regular season after the Central League club said Thursday it will clear the way for him to play on the team's 70-man roster. Nakamura, 33, is set to sign the new contract on Friday.
