Oita HeatDevils center Andy Ellis, the team's go-to player all season, carried his club over the weekend as it beat the Tokyo Apache 114-78 on Saturday and 85-83 on Sunday. He is the Circle K Sunkus Player of the Week, the bj-league announced on Tuesday.
Ellis scored 39 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and made three assists in the blowout win. A day later, he scored 26, grabbed eight boards and dished out three assists in an overtime triumph. Ellis is second in the league in scoring with 24.6 points per game.
