Mongolian grand champion Asashoryu underlined his dominance on the raised ring by crushing countryman Asasekiryu to win a one-day sumo tournament in Tokyo on Sunday.
Asashoryu took out ozeki Tochiazuma in the semifinals and clinched the title for the second year in a row when he forced out Takasago stablemate Asasekiryu in the final.
