Chiyotaikai and three other ozeki wrestlers on Monday dismissed claims in a report in a weekly magazine that Mongolian grand champion Asashoryu is fixing sumo matches.

Chiyotaikai, Kaio, Bulgarian ozeki Kotooshu and Tochiazuma were each questioned for 30 minutes by the Japan Sumo Association the same day, after their names appeared in the recent article in the Shukan Gendai weekly.

The report quotes a wrestler as saying Asashoryu, who has just won his 20th Emperor's Cup, pays money to other wrestlers to lose so he can win titles. Asashoryu, who has already slammed the report, is set to be questioned by the JSA on Tuesday.
