Infielder Fernando Seguignol is returning to help the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters do more damage in 2007.

The 32-year-old Panamanian slugger agreed Tuesday on a one-year contract for an estimated annual salary of $2.2 million (about 268 million yen), plus performance escalators.

Batting cleanup last season, Seguignol hit .295 with 26 homers and 77 RBIs, helping to lift the Fighters to their first Japan Series title in 44 years, when the team was known as the Toei Flyers.
