The Tokyo Yakult Swallows have acquired veteran right-handed pitcher Seth Greisinger, the Central League club said Wednesday.

Greisinger, who has been playing in South Korea with the Kia Tigers since 2005 and posted 14 wins last year, has been given a one-year contract worth $400,000 plus performance-related bonuses.

He will wear the No. 29 jersey.

Greisinger played in the major leagues with the Detroit Tigers, the Minnesota Twins and the Atlanta Braves before moving to the Far East. He has a 10-16 career record and a 5.51 ERA.
