In bj-league action Sunday, David Palmer's 27-point effort paced the Osaka Evessa to a 100-85 triumph over the Sendai 89ers, and Lynn Washington (17 points, 13 rebounds), Jeff Newton (22 points, 14 rebounds), Kazuya Hatano (10) and Masashi Joho (nine) also made significant contributions.
Sendai's Taira Yoshida scored 25 and Mamadou Diouf had a 22-point outing. Elsewhere, the visiting Takamatsu Five Arrows defeated the Toyama Grouses 81-64 to earn a split in their series. A quintet of Five Arrows scored in double figures led by Reggie Warren's 22 and Yu Okada's 17. Jerod Ward had 24 for the Grouses.
