In Sunday's bj-league games, the Oita HeatDevils rebounded from a 103-52 loss on Saturday to beat the host Niigata Albirex 75-70.

Mikey Marshall led the way for Oita with 21 points, 15 rebounds and five assists and teammate Chris Ayer added 15 points. For Niigata, Matt Garrison had 18 and Antoni Wyche contributed 15.

The visiting Sendai 89ers defeated the Takamatsu Five Arrows 85-77. Mamadou Diouf had a double-double (21 points, 10 rebounds) and Michael Chappell added 28 points.

For Takamatsu, Julius Ashby had 25 points and cleared 12 boards. The host Osaka Evessa topped the Toyama Grouses 75-57 as five players scored in double figures, including 2005-06 league MVP Lynn Washington, who had 17, and Jeff Newton, who added 15 and pulled down 23 rebounds. Nile Murry had 17 points for the Grouses.
