Ryoko Yano scored a game-high tying 25 points Sunday as the Fujitsu Red Wave held off the Chanson V-Magic 87-79 in the women's final to win its second consecutive title at the basketball national championships.

Yano made six of her 11 three-point attempts for Fujitsu, which turned a 13-point deficit into a 40-38 halftime lead and never trailed at Yoyogi national gymnasium.

Older sister Yuko Yano added 17 points, while making a buzzer-beating shot at the end of the second quarter. Chanson's Yuko Aizawa had 25 points, but Fujitsu's defense continued to cause problems for the club that was seeking its first crown in seven years.
