Takamatsu Five Arrows guard Makoto Kita is the Circle K Sunkus Player of the Week, the bj-league has announced.
Kita, who hails from Osaka, helped his team win both games against the first-place Niigata Albirex BB last weekend.
Kita matched his season high with 16 points on 7-for-12 shooting and had two rebounds and three assists on Saturday.
A day later, Kita had a five-point, three-assist, two-rebound, one-steal outing.
In related news, Tokyo Apache star John "Helicopter" Humphrey won the league's December MVP award.
Humphrey had back-to-back 40-point outings on Dec. 3 and 4 and had 30 or more in two other games.
He leads the league in scoring (27.3 points per game).
The bj-league's teams are off this weekend. They resume play next Saturday.
