Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters outfielder Atsunori Inaba, the 2006 Japan Series MVP, received a yen 65 million pay raise Tuesday, re-signing with the Pacific League club for an estimated 145 million yen in annual salary.
Inaba agreed on the new deal in the second round of talks after batting .307 with 26 homers and 75 RBIs in the regular season and helping the team win its first Japan Series title in 44 years with a .353 average, two homers and seven RBIs in five games.
