The Fukuoka Softbank Hawks are preparing to acquire a foreign player amid stalled talks with infielder Julio Zuleta, who has yet to respond to an offer from the Pacific League club.
"Zuleta is the only foreign player we have focused on in the offseason market this year, but it is about time for us to put another player on the negotiating table," Softbank chief operating officer Takanori Takeuchi said Friday.
