The Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters on Thursday announced the acquisition of right-hander Ryan Glynn, who went 7-7 with a 3.96 ERA in 21 games for the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles this year.

Glynn will join the 2006 Japan Series champions on a one-year contract worth an estimated $800,000 after the 32-year-old and Rakuten failed to agree on terms for re-signing. Glynn has a 9-20 record with a 6.24 ERA in his major league career.
