Saitama Broncos guard Taishiro Shimizu is the Circle K Sunkus Player of the Week, the bj-league announced Tuesday.
Shimizu, a native of Miyazaki, came off the bench and scored 18 points and dished out three assists in the host Broncos' 97-90 double-overtime victory over the Sendai 89ers on Sunday.
He shot 7 of 9 from the field and also grabbed three rebounds and made a steal in 31 productive minutes as the Broncos salvaged a weekend split.
