The Yokohama BayStars said Thursday they have signed one-year contracts with pitchers Scott Chiasson and Joselo Diaz, who both have major league experience.
Chiasson has pitched in 10 games in the major leagues and had a 3-2 record with 29 saves and a 1.91 ERA with the Cincinnati Reds' Triple-A affiliate in Louisville.
Diaz made his major league debut this year and pitched in four games for the Kansas City Royals but has no record. Chiasson and Diaz will both earn 40 million yen in 2007.
