A bj-league official said Wednesday that the league isn't planning to change its official game ball back to the old leather ball -- at least for now.

"We just heard about (the decision in the NBA) yesterday. We're going to discuss about the ball from now on, but we doubt we're going back to the old ball (anytime) soon," the official said.

The bj-league has been using the same game ball, which is made by Spalding and used in the NBA, since its inaugural campaign last season.

This microfiber composite ball made its NBA debut this season.

But the NBA announced this week it will return to the old ball staring on starting Jan. 1, after it received numerous complaints from players.

The bj-league official said the league is currently getting feedback from players on the new ball.
