The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles have signed a two-year contract with right-hander Lin En-yu, a member of Taiwan's World Baseball Classic squad, officials of the Pacific League club said Wednesday.
Lin, holder of the most wins and ERA titles this year with the Macoto Cobra, will earn a first-year salary of 40 million yen under the deal that also includes a signing bonus of 50 million yen.
