Tokyo Apache's John "Helicopter" Humphrey was named the Circle K Sunkus Player of the Week, the bj-league announced Tuesday.
Humphrey scored 40 points in consecutive games on Saturday and Sunday, both against the Oita HeatDevils.
Humphrey is the league's first weekly award winner this season.
For the remainder of the season, the league will announce the winner every Tuesday.
Furthermore, Humphrey is eligible for the league's December player of the month award.
