In Saturday's bj-league action, the visiting Tokyo Apache defeated the Oita HeatDevils 75-68.
John "Helicopter" Humphrey scored a game-best 25 points, including 9-for-12 from the charity stripe, and added 11 rebounds.
Teammate Jeremee McGuire added 20 points. For Oita, Justin Allen led the way with 20 points. At Tokorozawa Municipal Gymnasium, the Niigata Albirex edged the Saitama Broncos 72-68.
Niigata center Nick Davis paced the winners with 13 points.
Saitama center Andrew Feeley put 19 points on the board and Kazuhiro Shoji scored 17.
Elsewhere, the visiting Sendai 89ers cruised to an 88-76 victory over the Toyama Grouses. Sendai center Ryan Blackwell scored a game-high 32 points, while four teammates also topped the double-digit mark.
The Grouses' Jerod Ward had 31 points.
