The Fukuoka Softbank Hawks have put outfielder Brian Buchanan on the offseason shopping list in an effort to reinvigorate their offense, club officials said Wednesday.
Buchanan had major-league stints with the Minnesota Twins, San Diego Padres and New York Mets between 2000 and 2004 before moving to the St. Paul Saints of the Independent League.
The 33-year-old has a career average of .258 in 346 games in the major leagues.
