Pinch-hitter Kazuyoshi Tatsunami hit a game-winning double in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Chunichi Dragons beat the Hiroshima Carp 3-2 to reduce their magic number to five for winning the Central League title on Wednesday.

Tatsunami drove a 3-0 pitch from Ken Takahashi into the gap in right-center field with one out and runners on first and second at Nagoya Dome, giving Chunichi its sixth "sayonara" win of the season.

Shinya Okamoto (4-0) got the win after retiring the side in order in the top of the ninth. Tomohiro Umetsu (0-1) took the loss.
