Norichika Aoki went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and Ryo Kawashima threw six shutout innings as the Tokyo Yakult Swallows defeated the Yokohama BayStars 9-4 in the Central League on Sunday.
Aoki led off a three-run first with a single and scored on an RBI single by Akinori Iwamura before his third hit of the afternoon drove in two runs in the fifth at Yokohama Stadium.
Kawashima (1-2) held Yokohama to three hits but the bullpen gave up four runs in the last three innings.

At Tokyo Dome, rookie left-hander Yuki Saito pitched five shutout innings in his debut and Takahiro Arai broke a scoreless tie with an RBI single in the sixth as Hiroshima topped Yomiuri.
