Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters infielder Michihiro Ogasawara hit 32 home runs and drove in 100 runs to claim titles in two major batting categories as the Pacific League came to a conclusion on Sunday.

Ogasawara claimed the titles for the first time in his career while Fukuoka Softbank Hawks infielder Nobuhiko Matsunaka won the batting title for the second time in three years with a .324 average.

Matsunaka was limited to only 76 RBIs this season after winning the RBI title the previous three years. Seibu Lions infielder Alex Cabrera also drove in 100 runs to win his first RBI title.

Softbank right-hander Kazumi Saito was the winningest pitcher in the PL with an 18-5 record and became the first pitcher to claim four individual titles in the league since Hideo Nomo did so with the Kintetsu Buffaloes in 1990.

Saito had the top ERA of 1.75, the best winning percentage (.783) and most strikeouts (205). Nippon Ham right-handed closer Micheal Nakamura won his first title for most saves, setting a new single-season mark of 39.
