Sydney Olympic marathon gold medalist Naoko Takahashi will run a half-marathon race in Philadelphia on Sunday for the second straight year, her management company said Wednesday.
Takahashi, who finished fourth in the women's half marathon at the same Philadelphia Distance Run last year, is scheduled to stay in the United States before returning to Japan for the Tokyo International Women's Marathon on Nov. 19.
The Tokyo marathon serves as a qualifier for the world championships in Osaka next summer.
