Inoue broke the game open with a solo shot in the sixth, an RBI single in the seventh and a two-run drive in the ninth after Yomiuri pulled within a run in the fourth on a two-run double by Shinnosuke Abe at Akita Prefectural Stadium.

Nakata (6-3) allowed five hits while striking out eight and walking two, helping Chunichi snap the Giants' four-game winning streak. Jeremy Powell (9-10) lost his second straight start, yielding four runs and seven hits in six innings.
