Tomohiro Nioka drove in three runs and Gary Glover won his first decision in four months Wednesday, helping the Yomiuri Giants to its second shutout victory against the Hiroshima Carp in as many nights with a 4-0 blanking.

Nioka singled up the middle to put Yomiuri on the board in the second inning and capped a three-run sixth with a two-run single to left after a Hiroki Kokubo RBI single made it 2-0 in the Central League game at Yahoo Dome.

Glover (4-7) held Hiroshima to four hits in six scoreless innings with three strikeouts and no walks. He earned his first win since April 30 after losing six straight decisions.
