Uehara reached the milestone in his 191st mound appearance, matching Seibu Lions right-hander Daisuke Matsuzaka in the fastest span in Japanese baseball history since the amateur draft was introduced in 1965. Matsuzaka notched his 100th win on June 16 this year.

Yoshinobu Takahashi, Hiroki Kokubo and Tomohiro Nioka delivered RBI singles at Koshien Stadium as Yomiuri turned the tables, handing second-place Hanshin its fourth straight loss.

BayStars 3, Dragons 1

At Nagoya Dome, Ken Kadokura pitched seven solid innings and Yuki Yoshimura keyed a two-run sixth with an RBI single as Yokohama sent league leader Chunichi to its third defeat in a row.

Luis Martinez (6-7) took the loss as the Dragons skidded to their longest losing streak since dropping five straight on May 19-24.
