HIROSHIMA (Kyodo) Koichi Ogata hit a three-run homer and Masafumi Suenaga drove in the go-ahead run with a pinch-hit solo drive Tuesday as the Hiroshima Carp snapped the front-running Chunichi Dragons' winning streak at six games with a 5-4 win in the Central League.
Ogata's shot helped Hiroshima take a two-run lead through two innings and Suenaga's leadoff homer in the fifth off Kenichi Nakata (4-2) gave Hiroshima the lead for good after a Tyrone Woods two-run homer tied it at 4-4 in the third at Hiroshima Stadium.
