Jeff Liefer delivered a pair of clutch doubles to drive in five runs and the front-running Seibu Lions sent 10 batters to the plate in a six-run third inning en route to an 11-1 rout over the Orix Buffaloes on Thursday.

The Pacific-League leading Lions stayed a game and a half ahead of the Softbank Hawks in the standings and won their 60th game of the season for the best in Japanese baseball.

Liefer had a base-clearing double in the third and followed with a two-run double up the middle in his next at-bat in a five-run fourth, which also featured Kazuhiro Wada's two-run double at Kyocera Dome.
