U.S. LPGA tour rookie Ai Miyazato will make her first appearance on home soil at the Japan LPGA Championship Konica Minolta Cup in early September, the Ladies Professional Golfers' Association of Japan said Wednesday.
In addition to the Sept. 7-10 event at the Nidom Classic Course in Hokkaido, the 21-year-old Miyazato will also feature in the Japan Women's Open in Osaka on Sept. 28-Oct. 1 as the defending champion, the association said.
Miyazato also plans to play at the Miyagi TV Cup Dunlop Ladies Open to be held a week before the Japan Women's Open.
