There have been no talks on the timing of Softbank Hawks manager Sadaharu Oh's release from hospital by his doctor or between his family members, a team spokesman said Tuesday.

The 66-year-old home run king, who underwent a successful operation on July 17 to remove his stomach after he was diagnosed with the early stages of stomach cancer, is doing well at Keio University Hospital in Tokyo, the spokesman said.

Second-place Softbank, 2 1/2 games behind the Seibu Lions in the Pacific League before Tuesday's games, has had a 5-4 record under acting manager Hiroshi Moriwaki since Oh left the team after a 3-3 tie in 12 innings with Seibu on July 5.
