Makoto Kaneko singled in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning and Yu Darvish pitched seven sharp innings Friday as the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters beat Seibu Lions 7-1, tying a 45-year-old club record of 11 consecutive wins.

Kaneko's RBI single made it 2-1 for Nippon Ham at Invoice Seibu Dome.

Darvish (5-5) allowed one unearned run and four hits with five strikeouts and two walks.

At Hiroshima Stadium, Kenta Kurihara hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the fourth inning and Hiroki Kuroda pitched eight strong frames, helping the Carp push past Yomiuri.

Trailing 2-1 with one out in the fourth, Kurihara connected on a 1-1 fastball from right-hander Koji Uehara (3-5) for a 3-2 lead.
