Former Oakland Athletics right-hander Keiichi Yabu has signed a contract with the Tijuana Potros of the Mexican League, baseball sources said Tuesday.
At Tijuana, the 37-year-old Yabu will be a teammate of Makoto "Mac" Suzuki, another Japanese right-hander with major league experience. Yabu was released by the Colorado Rockies earlier this year after being sent to minor league camp from major league spring training.
