Masahiko Morino knocked in two key runs with a homer and an infield single, leading the Central League-leading Chunichi Dragons over the Yomiuri Giants 7-4 for their third straight win on Sunday.
Morino hit a leadoff homer in the third inning to tie the game at 2 and drove in the go-ahead run in the next frame with a two-out infield single at Nagoya Dome, where Yomiuri suffered its sixth consecutive loss to fall below .500 for the first time this season.
Hirokazu Ibata followed Morino with a two-run triple off Koji Uehara (2-4), making it 5-2. The Yomiuri right-hander was charged with five runs -- two earned -- and nine hits in six innings.
