DORTMUND, Germany -- Superstar striker Ronaldo said he was getting back to his old ways after scoring twice in Brazil's 4-1 victory over Japan on Thursday to equal Gerd Mueller's record of 14 goals in World Cup finals.
The Real Madrid striker's header in first half injury time and curling shot late in the second half were the book ends of the four goals that sent Japan home after the first round of the World Cup and Brazil into a second round meeting with Ghana.
"I'm confident in my physical ability. I wasn't in the best shape because I went 4 days without training but we followed a specific training program and today I'm much better," the 29-year-old Ronaldo said.
