Chicago White Sox second baseman Tadahito Iguchi had his third straight multi-hit game Tuesday, going 2-for-5 in a 5-2 win over the Texas Rangers.

Iguchi singled to right in the sixth inning, scored on a three-run homer by Paul Konerko in the same frame and doubled off the left-center wall in the seventh at Ameriquest Field.

"I believe I can raise my batting average significantly if I can foul off tough pitches and take balls like I did today," Iguchi said, referring to his seventh-inning double on right-hander Bryan Corey's eighth pitch.

Iguchi also struck out twice and grounded out to shortstop in the game. He has batted .291 for the season.

At McAfee Coliseum, Ichiro Suzuki went 1-for-4 and extended his hitting streak to 13 games in the Seattle Mariners' 2-0 loss to the Oakland Athletics.

Ichiro grounded out to second, flied out to right, lined out to center and then singled to right in the ninth inning.

Kenji Jojima was 1-for-3, grounding out to shortstop, flying out to left and singling to left.

At PNC Park, So Taguchi went hitless in three at-bats with a walk as the St. Louis Cardinals edged the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-1. The outfielder grounded out twice and flied out.
