Tadahito Iguchi went 1-for-5 with three strikeouts and a groundout in the Chicago White Sox's 11-0 rout over the Cleveland Indians on Monday.

Iguchi doubled off the left-center wall with one out in the first before Jim Thome belted an 0-2 pitch off lefty Corey Lee into the right-field stands for his 20th homer, giving Chicago a 2-0 lead.

"We were able to score early. This was definitely a good win for us," said Iguchi, who received treatment before and after the game on a sore left foot. "I'll probably be finished with the treatments from tomorrow."

Thome homered twice on the day for his 450th career home run, surpassing Jeff Bagwell for 30th on the all-time list.

In St. Louis, Missouri, So Taguchi had a pair of singles and was hit by a pitch and grounded out in the St. Louis Cardinals' 3-1 win over the Houston Astros.

Albert Pujols hit his major-league leading 25th homer.

In Arlington, Texas, Ichiro Suzuki and Kenji Jojima both were held hitless in three at-bats as the Seattle Mariners fell to their fifth loss in a row in a 2-0 defeat to the Texas Rangers.

Ichiro flied out twice, grounded out to second and was hit by a pitch against rookie left-hander John Rheinecker. Jojima grounded out to the pitcher, struck out swinging and grounded out to shortstop.

In New York, Kazuo Matsui grounded out to second in his only at-bat after coming in as a pinch-hitter in the sixth inning in the New York Mets' 8-7 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
