Japan's players head to the World Cup fit, focused and in high spirits after concluding a weeklong training camp on Wednesday ahead of warmup matches for soccer's global extravaganza in Germany.

The Asian champion leaves Japan on Friday and will play host Germany and Malta before its crunch opener in Group F against Australia in Kaiserslautern on June 12.
"Overall the camp has gone extremely well," Zico told reporters after the team wrapped up the camp with a 22-0 win over a local high school in a practice match at the J-Village Stadium in Fukushima Prefecture.
