Ichiro Suzuki stretched his hitting streak to 17 games in a 2-for-5 outing Tuesday and catcher Kenji Jojima singled once in four trips to the plate, but the Seattle Mariners fell in a 14-4 romp by the Baltimore Orioles.
Ichiro posted his third consecutive multihit game and 21st of the season to raise his batting average to .322, but it was no consolation as the Mariners failed to win five in a row for the first time in two years.
The Japanese outfielder singled to left twice, grounded out to second and struck out swinging twice. Jojima grounded out twice, had a run-scoring single in the sixth and popped out to first in the eighth in going 1-for-4.
