The Lotte Marines announced the acquisition of outfielder Matt Watson from the Oakland Athletics organization Tuesday.
Watson, 27, joined the Pacific League club under a contract carrying a 40 million yen annual salary. He has appeared in a total of 34 major-league games in 2003 and 2005 while having played for Oakland's Triple-A affiliate this season.
