Designated hitter Shinjiro Hiyama drove in the go-ahead run with a solo homer in the top of the 11th inning Tuesday as the Hanshin Tigers stopped the Chiba Lotte Marines' winning streak at nine games with a 2-1 victory.

Hiyama drove an 0-1 pitch from Yasuhiko Yabuta (2-2) into the right-field stands with one out, helping the Tigers win their fourth in a row and move within a half-game of the front-running Yomiuri Giants in the Central League.

Kyuji Fujikawa (3-0) worked a scoreless 10th for the win and Tomoyuki Kubota picked up his ninth save after retiring the side in order in the bottom of the 11th at Chiba Marine Stadium.
