Overnight leader Shiho Oyama played patiently in blustery conditions Saturday and stretched her lead to five shots going into the final round of the Salonpas World Ladies.
Oyama, who took a one-stroke lead after shooting a 66 on Friday, fired a 1-over-par 73 on a day when strong winds sent scores soaring at Tokyo Yomiuri Country Club and stayed on top of the leaderboard on 5-under 211 after three rounds.
The money leader on the Japan LPGA tour rebounded from bogeys on the first and ninth holes with birdies at Nos. 11 and 16 before failing to save par on the par-5 17th for another dropped shot.
