Shinji Sasaoka threw seven shut-out innings and Shigenobu Shima homered twice and drove in six runs, helping the Hiroshima Carp stop a three-game losing streak with a 13-0 rout of the Chunichi Dragons on Sunday.

Sasaoka (2-1) allowed just two singles and a walk while striking out five and walking one at Yonago Municipal Stadium. The veteran right-hander took a perfect game into the sixth before allowing a leadoff single to Kazuki Inoue.
Shima added a grand slam in a six-run eighth to make things even worse for Chunichi, which lost for the first time in four games. Masahiro Yamamoto (1-1) was charged with four runs and six hits in 6 1/3 innings.
