Japanese right-hander Hideo Nomo had a mediocre outing in his first start for Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.

Nomo, whose start had been delayed by inflammation in his pitching elbow, allowed four runs -- one earned -- and two hits in three-plus innings of his team's 6-4 come-from-behind win over the Pawtucket Red Sox. Nomo struck out three and walked two.

Nomo left the mound during the fourth inning when the Pawtucket Red Sox led 2-1 on a go-ahead double by Luke Allen and had runners on second and third with none out.

Agustin Montero, who relieved Nomo, allowed the two men to score for a 4-1 deficit in the frame before Charlotte turned the game around to take the lead in a three-run sixth.
