Chicago White Sox infielder Tadahito Iguchi went 3-for-5 with two runs scored for his third three-hit game of the season in a 9-0 rout over the Kansas City Royals on Monday.

Iguchi, who boosted his batting average to .340, hit in his fifth straight game. He went the opposite way with a single to right in the first inning, stroked another single to center in the second and then singled to left off starter Joe Mays's changeup in the fifth.

"I'm hitting in good situations. Even though I was behind the count in the first two at-bats I was able to get hits," said Iguchi, who scored on a Paul Konerko three-run drive in a five-run first and Konerko's RBI double in the fifth.
