Hiroki Kokubo hit a two-run homer and Tetsuya Utsumi pitched his first career complete game Saturday as the Yomiuri Giants defeated the Yokohama BayStars 3-1 to extend their unbeaten streak to seven games in the Central League.

Kokubo connected off Yoshinori Doi (1-2) for a shot to left after a Tomohiro Nioka sacrifice fly scored Kenji Yano, who had led off the game with a double and moved to third on a groundout by Shinsuke Yamada, and Lee Seung Yeop followed with a double.

Utsumi (2-0) held Yokohama to one run on a third-inning RBI infield single by Masaaki Koike. The left-hander scattered six hits while striking out three and walking one in a 113-pitch outing.
