Orix snapped a three-game losing skid while sending the Japan Series defending champion to its fourth loss in a row, thanks to a one-out single by Mitsutaka Goto in the sixth followed by Muramatsu's RBI bloop single to right off Naoyuki Shimizu one out later that broke scoreless tie at Osaka Dome.
Davey (2-0) allowed five hits in seven shutout innings for his second win in as many starts and Masanobu Okubo got the final three outs in the ninth for his third save.
